Do you think it is worth it to swao the motor or just find another car already set up for a v8, how much of the drive train and suspension do you have to change for the swap? thanks

allot of it depends on your skills- if you can do the work yourself it wouldn't be too bad. if you have to pay to get it done , thats something else. i bought my v-6 car for $300 cause it didn't run.i've done it all but the paint and can beat cars costing 5 times what i've got in it. allot of self satisfaction in doing it yourself.

IMO there are no cons in a V8 swap. I wouldn't care how much time or money it took.

Oh yeah , the 350 is the best choice.IMO and yes you will need a V-8 tranny..700r4 would be the easiest if you have an auto now. I got one 700r4 from a U-pullit wrecking yard for 35.00. They are there to be found if you shop smart.

How much do you have to replace? If it attaches to or feeds the engine, it has to be replaced. Electrical harnesses, fuel induction, radiator, hoses, cables, engine mounts, front springs, all accessories & accessory brackets, tachometer...

The only sane way to do this is to get a complete factory V8 donor car, even if you don't use the engine from it. This means you're buying another car. From a dollars-only point of view, it makes more sense to sell the V6 car, then buy a factory V8 car and work on it.

Unfortunately, I didn't know that before I started my project. I discovered this site after I was done. The only way it makes any sense at all is if the car has some sort of sentimental value.
