What cam should I use?

I've got a 91 z-28 305 tpi.

It's got K&N intake, Pulley system, MSD ignition, 8.8mm wires, Helical intake spacer, High performance muffler & a Super Chip.

I guess it's putting out around 250-275hp.

I'd like it closer to the 350-375hp area, my budget is limited and a set of heads are probably too much.

But a good cam is another possibility.

Any other ideas are welcome, third gen are the Best.

I'd guess it's putting out closer to 215 HP.

Put in the biggest, baddest computer-compatible cam in it, adjustable fuel pressure regulator, you'll probably get up to 250 HP.

Headers and high flow exhaust - maybe 275.

Ported heads and larger intake valves (either your current heads or World Products S/R Torquer 305 heads), ported plenum, larger TB, shorter/fatter runners, custom PROM - perhaps 300-325.

Want more than that, with TPI, you're looking at mucho buckos. Probably easier to just go with a 350.

You would be lucky if you got any gain with a Superchip.

You can't honestly expect an old engine to run better than new because you put on a new air filter.

Seriously, do what the kid says and buy a cam that won't completely freak out the computer. Then get a set of heads that will work on a future 350 and take the hit on compression. Better flowing heads will make up for the loss of a couple of points. I recomend World sportsman or sportsman II, or if you can't foot the bill, Vortec heads are a good value. Getting the TPI base to fit right is a challenge, but I think the edelbrock sell a Vortec specific base now. I could be wrong, not that into TPI. After the heads you need to get like a stealth ram or something of that nature that is tuned for higher RPM operation. All of these parts are 350 compatible, so it's not like you're pissing away all of your money.
