L98 to Lb9

I am looking at buying an 89 IROC that has a 350 TPI (L98) engine in it, the cam has a flattened lobe and needs to be replaced. I have an 85 305 TPI (Lb9) From my 85 Iroc that i totaled, i talked to a mechanic friend of mine, and he said that I should swap engines then rebuild the 350 and keep it for a back up for when the 305 dies. My question is this-----------------------
When my car was totaled, the alteranter was busted, and most of the pullies got bent, so will all the pullies from the L98 fit onto the LB9 ? Will the distributer work with the LB9?

Thanks in advance

There should not be a problem with brackets or anything like that since both engines are TPI. However, I recall that the harmonic balancer is larger on the 305. Secondly, take the 305 prom out of your ECM and swap it with the new one. When you go back to the 350 you can swap it back.

Hope this helps.
