I need 350 swap help !
Ok so it hit me finnally today my 84 v6 camaro needs work not to bad on the engine stuff. But the engine needs work especially before it's back to it's prime. So I ran some numbers and finnally realize for all of what I was planning to do with the carbed v6 I coulda completed a 350 in the same amout of time for a fraction of the cost. At the smae time get a even larger hp gain. So here's my question cna you guys tell me speciaficlly what I need to buy to do the swap and some ruff numbers as to what the total swap will cost being it that I'm doing alot if not all of teh work myself. Well not absalutely by my-self my friends dad aka 60something year old hotrod *** is gonna help me a little along the way. But before I even turn a wrench I need to write out what it is I'm doing what order to do it in and how much it will cost. Can you guys help me out in anyway ?

Yeah I know
well I got the motor now all I need is to get a v8 tranny that can handle a modded 350 that happens to be a 1.1 motor. For you guys who really know chevy's then you must know what this block is capable of.I also have three different older hotrod builder guys who are willing to help me to do this swap. They all also say to get a good book like a chiltens book and go from there. They say the best way to learn is to read. I for one most certainly agree. Well anyway anymore comments or hints would be appriciated.
Hey can you let me know what tranny you go wiht? I jsut swaped my 305 for a 350 bored .40 over and Im deciding whether to have my tranny rebuilt or to find somthing heavyier smae with the rear end?? It seems to hold up now but NOW is the key word Im trying not to end up in a big red pouddle somewhere.. Thanks alot...

Uh
well I have no clue but he said something about it being able to be bored more then 30 over because it was some kind o racing engine. The name had a one of somekind in it. Oh yeah what should I look for to see if this is a good engine or not cause it's been outside for a while no rust that I know of but,how do I know if it's worth rebuilding ?
