Is your 305 carbed and are you going to carb your 350? Yes the intake would bolt up, even if it is a TPI motor, but you may want to consider whether it is going to have the air flow you want. Aftermarket intakes don't cost that much. In the case that your 305 is TPI and you want to use that, you will prob have to get a 350 chip for your ECM or reprogram the existing one and get higher volume injectors to handle the extra cubes.

Yes, but you have to modify the 4 center bolt holes on the manifold so that the bolts will go in at the right angle. On '87 and up heads, the bolt holes are angled closer to vertical than on pre-'87 heads. It would be easier to go aftermarket, if you have the money.

Well if you are not concerned about performance then just freshen up the 305. That would be the most cost effective. Just save your money for the 350 if you want to eventually swap it. Then you can make it a worthwhile swap.

I dont know what Im gonna build up but not the 305. right now I need it to commute with. next year Ill take it off the road and and put in a new crate motor. all of my money is tied up right now so I just need to get it on the road quickly and without dumping $$ into a motor Im gonna replace anyway. thnks

Yep, keeping the 305 would be the most cost effective right now.
