Has anyone thats done an LT1 swap in a 3rd gen hook up the cruise control? Did you use the 3rd gen or the LT1 module?

I dont see why the 3gen cruise wouldnt work. I didnt hook it up simply because it never worked before the swap. but now I'm looking at getting an aftermarket system and wiring it into the controls on the turn signal lever so that it looks factory. I'd rather have cruise for the 12 hour drive to school.

 

Im going to be doing the swap too. I just got my reworked wiring harness back this week. Anyway the guy that reworked my harness said that I should be able to use my 3rdgen cruise on the LT1. I really havent looked much into this yet myself.

 

The cable hookup is different so a different cable would be need for sure but it may work. As far as electronic they should still be fine.
