Supercharged LT1

Has anybody swapped in an LT1 with a supercharger and gotten it all to fit under the stock hood?

I don't see why it wouldn't. An LT1 is more low profile than anything that came on a thirdgen.

I was thinking more along the lines of the vortec kit at the back of the summit catalog. It mounted on the side of the engine. Here's a link. http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=19826
Would that fit, or would it require modifying the mounts, crossmember or strut towers? I was just thinking that if some modification was needed to use the AC then this might be the same way.

EDIT: I just realized that the part number is for an L98, although the one for the LT1 looks like it mounts in the same way.

No, they do not,

LT1 4th gen supercharger kit has its own bracket, it mounts low and on the drivers side, the power steering box on our 3rd gens is in the way, you can either swap to corvette accessories and put the vette bracket on the passenger side, or get the impala SS powerdyne kit, or fabricate your own bracket and tensioner / find another that will bolt to the head and fab a lil........

So would the impala kit be a direct bolt in, or would some modification be necessary to get it to fit in the engine bay?

Thats odd.. the the Procharger kit states otherwise, maybe you're thinking of the v-belt setup? Becuase I don't know to many that offer a v-belt setup. Matter of fact procharger states you need the serpintine belt conversion
