$$$$ It all depends on who you talk to. I personally do not know but if you walk up to a shop asking that question, you may get *** raped! Look to spend atleast $1500 i would think on that swap. That does not include parts or anything. At best, just labor. Most likely more. It is pretty involved to just throw at someone to do. Good luck with whatever you choose.
mad mony. enging is 3 or 4 grand. need to make custom motor mounts and you need to get the wireing harness retofitted to the third gen. one company wants 900 bucks for just the harness. im doing this swap soon. lot of work invovled but definitly worth it.

If you do it yourself plan to spend between 6 and 8 large. I would stay from the T56 for reliability issues. 01 and 02 LS1 engines are preferable because of a few design changes, however they are selling at a premium.
Roughly about 8-10 grand. Average price for a salvage LS1 with trans, computer, harness, etc, is around 3500. I have seen cheaper on e-bay, but they are always on the other side of the world, so factor in shipping. You will spend another grand to get the harness modified, and the pcm reflashed. Add a set of headers, motor mounts, fuel pump, etc, and the numbers start to climb. I could go on, but you get the idea.
NOt trying to flame here...
But 90RS3.1 ...
If your Monte SS Aerocoupe is a 1987 model, there were ALOT more made than 250. There were 200 produced in 1986. Every one I've ever seen ( maybe 5 or so ) were white in color.
In 1987, GM produced 6052 SS Aercoupes.

PM him, i don't want to read this crap! It only leads to "flames". Yes, i know that i can ignore it and not read it or respond but you just said, "not trying to flame here", so what that means to me is that you are trying to inform him. So do it, just not in this post/thread. Thats all. And if you are willing to share this info with everyone, post it in the History section.

Like I said I have seen them cheaper, but they weren't as complete a package. The few I have seen that really were cheaper always seemed to be 9 states away.
Here's a forum that discusses LS1 conversions-

Point taken. But putting 4th gen Monte Carlo info in the History section of a 3rd gen F-Body site would be inappropriate don't ya think? Kinda like your comment.
I don't have flame wars. Getting too old for it. I was simply trying to inform him, no holier that thou crap, or anything like it. I thought the whole point of the Internet in general was to share information? Oh well.
And I'm sorry you're having such a bad day that reading my post set you off.
Hope it gets better, mine will
