today when my dad got home from work we pulled the motor. i am now in the process of cleaning all the brackets and the engine bay. tommorrow i will contue cleaning and i'll transfer everything from the old motor to the new one, once all thats done i can drop my new 408 in. heres a few pics of my progress

nice dude, looks like its going to be a straightfoward swap, u have all the right stuff lol itll be worth getting that 408 in there, thats a great base to be working off of, 58 more cubes than the vast majority of people have, which will really shine once some nice flowing heads and a more aggrissive cam are in there in the future if you ever plan on doing that/winning the lotery

being how i don't have enough money for heads, ill wait for next winter to do that. as for the cam, i have a pretty nice one in there now, but when i do the heads next winter i'm going to put a little bigger cam in. hopefully by then i'll have a beater to drive around in, so i don't have to drive my camaro everyday.

 

Youve been posting alot of pics lately of your swap, but this board isnt for showing off your car, its to ask questions and provide answers. I cant see how these pics help. Going to lock this and any future posts that are similar.

Out of curiosity, if someone wants to show of the engine they just pulled... I guess they put it in the Appearance and Detailing section then?

 

Actually I was quite interested in the swap and how it would come out. I don't see how posting pics of a swap would go anywhere else?

SLOWFIVEOH thanks for your intrest in my motor swap. i agreed that i would no longer post any pictures on the motor swap forum. i to don't see how this is a problem, but i have already been down this road before with the mod. if anyone has any questions about my motor swap please feel free to ask me.

If you want to put any pictures up, either link to a site, or use the {img} tags instead of attaching them here. Unless of course you run into a problem that pictures will help clarify. Post those to your hearts content.
