fiero in a thirdgen possible
i was just wonderin if a fiero engine+tranny would work if original engine compartment was gutted and includes whole IFS and puting in the fiero IRS in the front of my firebird

You would spend less money putting in a used small block and probably go faster. 2.8L out of a Fiero would not propel a heavier Bird. My .02!

Sure, you could drop it in with a ton of fab work, but then there's the whole STEERING THE CAR ISSUE.
That is, unless you want to add steering out back and have one helluva forklift...minus the fork...man, it just gets worse with every hit of the turd polish.
Honestly, you're best served if you do as espirocz suggested and keep the configuration you have. If you like the rest of the car, take the easy (only?) way out and fix what is broken.
Search around here, see what others did. If your car is busted, you can find help here. Great combinations abound on 3G. Search and learn, search and learn. And if you have not been told yet, welcome to 3G.org
