2.8 to 3.8
Hi all!
Got a 160k mile 2.8 which has served me well. Still runs great, but I'm starting to get the itch for more. Now I'm only 21, and I have 2 tickets on my record, so my insurance rates are already outrageous, and a V8 wouldn't exactly make my rates any cheaper. Not only that, but with gas prices the way they are now, I definitely don't need a gas-guzzler under my hood. I'm poor if you haven't already figured it out

So I was thinkin' about dropping a 3.8 into him. Now I know about what's involved when upping to a V8. (Gotta change the tranny, springs blah blah blah....). But I haven't been able to find anyone that's gone from a 2.8 to a 3.8. Is it as involved as a V8 upgrade? I mean, could I keep my tranny and whatnot?
