454 in a 3rd gen camaro?

i have a 1970's 454 sitting at home and i was wondering if i could swap that into a 1988-1995 camaro, if so how much work would be involved and whats needed?

It will fit in a 82-92, but it will be tight. I don't know if you could even cram it into a 4th gen (93+).

I wouldn't think you could get that into a fourth gen. Since have the LT1/LS1 sits underneath the dash. Clearance would be a huge issue.

It is interesting to note that I have seen big block hoods for 4th gens for sale.

Ya, I would even hate to do a SBC swap in a 4th gen, everything is packed in there.

I wouldnt see why it wouldnt fit if a new hood was used...

The camaro ZL-1 concept has a 572ci or somewhere in the high 500's in a 4rth gen.

And as for thirdgens... the largest i have seen in real life... at our local car shows someguy had a 702ci in there... that thing was massive

Oh, ehre is somethin you guys might not believe... that firebird is using the stock hood! i am pretty sure of this cause when i heard it i was amazed and it just stuck with me
