First thing to cosider is that the performer RPM heads DO NOT have EGR provisions so you would need to do the same thing people are doing with vortec or ZZ4 (corvette) heads and using a similar to Corvette style EGR tube that goes from your exhaust to the intake. You would need an aftermarket or corvette baseplate to make this work. Otherwise I am guessing it might pass. The camshaft they are using is the same one I am hopeing to get through smog with on my superrammed 400 engine.
Although it sounds like a decent engine for the price, I would think for the overall cost you could find a 350 roller block, and build, or have built a rollercammed 383 for less money.
Good Luck!

thanks 85tpi400. People with ls1's have been passing the sniffer test with a bigger cam so i don't see y not this cam will pass. You know any place that i can find a 350 roller block for a good $$$ and what do u recommend on a stroker kit.

I have thought about using that same engine. What if I used a TPIS miniram? It has no provisions for EGR either. How would I go about dealing with the EGR? Or do I just leave it all out.
