I guess I needed to search a little smarter. 454 in a 3rd gen. Anyone got the t-shirt yet. After reading all of this, could I dump the big mill in a 4th gen? Or have I finally found the impossible engine swap?
Also, anyone know why there are parts for 93-87 Fbods than they go 98-02???

Even more important, they did a major engine redesign; they went from the LT1 in 93-97 to the LS1 98-up.
Lots of people have put big blocks in these cars. They won't fit with any kind of decent induction and a stock hood though, you'll pretty much have to plan on changing the hood as part of the swap, especially in a Pontiac. They're not an easy fit, but not too difficult either, within the capabilities of a reasonably competent racing or hot-rod mechanic.
A 4th gen is a different matter altogether. It's been done, but it requires extensive modification to the car body.
