LT1 T56 on LS1 engine

If I remember correctly, the earlier trans(93-97) will not work on an LS1. Check here http://www.sallee-chevrolet.com/Chev...ons/gmt56.html
According to the last few lines, the flywheel, clutch assembly, etc. will not work on your motor. The slave cylinder on the earlier trans is a push type and the later is a pull(traditional) type if memory serves me correctly.

nope... input shaft on the tranny is diffrent, bellhousing bolt pattern is diffrent, clutch is diffrent...
