I will do a search, but has anyone done this?
I think yes, if I remember correctly.
The engine comes with the T56, so who makes a tranny support for the back of the tranny?

This is close it says it's for putting a T-56 into a 3rd Gen. The White Z has an LS1/T-56 from this site. A few other 3rd Gen swap in LS1 parts are listed too.
The shortie headers from JBA are just a hair better thant eh 98-00 exhaust manifolds. The JBAs are on par with the 00+ cast iron manifolds.

Thanks, I've been reading the sticky above. It seems that an LS1 swap is very difficult.
I have a 4 bolt L98 block in my garage. I think that I will go ahead this Winter and biuld a 395 stroker motor. This block being an L98 type block will bolt right in and so will all of my accessaries.
Maybe this is my best route. I have an LS1 engine in my '99 SS, its by far the better engine, but I think that its too much trouble.
