Ram Jet vs. 350 crate

The plan is to drop one of the two motors but i have a couple of quesitons. First the 350 is ment for a carb but i saw that edelbrock has the performer efi system, could i drop this onto the 350 crate and everything should work? Second i was looking at the ram jet are there going to be any clearance problems and has anybody done this? If you have do this or have pictures or comments just let loose.

GM put the Ram Jet 350 in a 3rd gen for a demo vehicle, even though it's illegal for you and I to do it.

They used the stock hood, so evidently there were no problems.

I think that any motor/mods to any car that doesnt specifcally pertain to that vehicle/year are/is illegal, if I'm not mistaken....please correct me if I'm wrong....but thats what I heard....even headers or exhaust mods are illegal....here in PA, supposedly, any mods to your car are illegal....but I never had problems, and a cop once acutally complimented me on my TA....so....

Search www.chevyhiperformance.com and www.hotrod.com

Search for Ram Jet 350

BTW, it is not legal in any state to remove emission equipment regardless if you "get away" with it by not having emissions testing. It's all federally mandated. If the feds catch you, it's up to a $25,000 fine.

Just be aware of that before you do anything.
