Engine Brackets for TPI to Carb Swap

Allright I'm deleting everything I can off my IROC to clean up the engine bay for this swap...AC, Power steering, Smog pump, etc. I'm looking to see what brackets to get to route the belt for my motor. I've seen the alternator mounted on the passenger side and wondered how to do that because mine hits my valve cover on the driver side. Anyone know where to get brackets to do this and belt part numbers. I'm not sure what to do about the blet tensioner or can I go with another setup. I thought some of the magazine motors looked like their alternator brakets had turnbuckles on them for adjustig belt tension. Is that so? Thanks in advance

After you determine what accessories you are going to use you need to get ahold of March pulleys or Zoops,. They both supply pulley systems for pretty much any application or set-up. They make real nice systems 'V belt or serpentine with the turn buckels like you mentioned, however they are pretty pricey. Sorry I can't get you a link for them, but you should be able to find them with any search engine easily.

Hope this helps, Bruce

Sounds like the crank, water, and alt pullies and alt bracket from an 86 ~ should work for you, its a mini serp setup.

Exactly right. That's how it's set up on my 87 IROC currently

Eh, probably pretty cheap. Just go pick them from a boneyard

I know for sure 85-87 will work, I don't know about other years though. I think they started using the serpentine setup in 89 or 90.
