Distributor Gear!
Hey guys,
Right now I have a 88 Iroc with a 305 TPI. I just bought a 350 crate motor from speedunlimited.com. The motor i bought has a flat tappet cam in it and I was wondering when i swap over the distributor if i can use the same distributor gear? I know that you need a cast iron distributor gear and i dont know if thats what is already on the 305.

The factory put what they call a "melonized" distributor gear with their roller cams.
It works fine with earlier style flat-tappet cams.
