....Of this short block assyembly im lookin at. for the price it looks good but does anyone know if the crank, rods, and maybe pistons are fordged or what type are they? becuz when they get into all that 4340 and all that kinda stuff im lost as far as that stuff, most of the time im lookin for fordged parts becuz i wanna get a new motor that has alot of power then now and i just want to make sure it holds good. the motor
good price for either a 355 or 383 but then there comes options hehe.

All those parts are TOP quality = $$$
What are you using the car for??? Planning on lots of boost or Nitrous?? or beating on it constantly???
I think its overkill for the street. 4340 cranks and JE Pistons are for people who have money to say. "I have JE pistons and 4340 crank"
Assuming you plan on occasional trips to the strip, ocassional Nitrous use, and 99% street use. Its more than youll ever need!
If you have the money, by all means GO for it, those are extremely nice parts, but i think it could be done alot cheaper and get the exact same performance....
but I need to know your intended use to give you any better opinion....

well for right now, my car is my daily driver but with in the yr or so i wanna take it off the road becuz i wanna get a truck for the winter. I glad to hear those are great parts in that motor, makes me want to get it even more
. as far as boost or nitrous, i might do alittle of both. becuz ive been lookin at the Holley 144 blowers and the B&M blowers. i also have a N.O.S. superpower shot nitrous set up, it should be good for up to a 150hp shot or larger.
after that id look into gettin my tranny rebuilt with better parts but ill see if it lasts (th350 tranny) with that motor. and then actually soon this yr im goin to replace my gears becuz they need t be replaced anyway and basiclly the rear end is finished excupt for a TA performance cover and welding the axel tubes.
but for the price and all those other options i think ill be gettin that motor probably around winter time like xmas time.
