That's sweet, but my girlfriend would probably kill me for even suggesting it.

Maybe once I buy a house, I'll do something like that in the rec-room.

I wouldn't want to have to move that thing when the little old lady wants to reorganize the living room.

Wouldn't be too hard, just have to weld the rods to the block, and might have to weld the pistons so that they're level.... I think it looks cool, I might build one when I get a spare motor... But I don't think the SO would like that....

If you look the rods are held on with one bolt on the top and the pistons are probably just flopping around on the end. The glass will level the piston tops anyway.

Now all you need is a Honda V-tec for a doorstop.

What if they're dome top pistons?

Take care, be good...

I disagree, I think its the ONLY good place for a 305 jk ..

I actually think it is a great conversational piece that would go good in a rec room of an enthusiast, and apparently makes a good whine rack/beer holder to boot.....

It looks like a ChryCo of some form, since the shape of the block looks like it would have the crossbolted mains, the block loks like it could be made from Aluminium so I would say a Keith Black block, also since it looks very similar to a block that was at work for a while, it was a KB block.

Imagine the imprint it would leave if you put that on carpet...lol

youd almost have to put a piece of plywood or something under it to distribute the weight...

if you look on the passage side of the motor you see the little cirlce thing that kinda looks liek the oil filter would go there and if you look on the back of the block in the lifter vally you don't see the hole for the HEI system (but then again the LS1 dosen't have one)

to me it looks like a ford motor. but i can't tell for sure.
