stability i would think that it depends on the rest of suspension setup (spring rates swaybars etc.) , but weight distribution yes and rearward weight transfer yes. I would set the car up on a skid pad and dial it in.

with 4thgens, they didnt set the engine back.. the firewall just mearly went forward.... the engine sits under the cowl because some designer at GM thought having a huge sloped windshield was a good idea

in a 4thgen, the engine is in the same place that it is on a 3rdgen.

You can see what the factory did in the 4th gens. Certainly curtails casual shade tree activity.
