Hehe thanks guys... Yep, still running the Speed Demon 750. I'm hoping for the hp to be between 450 and 500 hp. Only times I'll be getting at first are from G-tech runs :/ have to wait till the track opens up again. Might have a video of it running later this week, can't wait to hear what it sounds like gawd I'm shaking like when I was little on x-mas morning, or I'm just cold

LOL Probably wont be running till tomorrow, freakin delays on a couple little important parts. One being the oil filter adapter that bolts to the block, it didn't come with one grrrr the parts place is being stupid too.

Cam specs:
* Duration at .050 in. cam lift: 248 intake/248 exhaust
* Gross valve lift: .525 in. intake/.525 in. exhaust
* Lobe separation: 110 degrees
* RPM range: 2,500 to 6,500

Little update, it's in the car Didn't start doing stuff today till late today but it will be running tomorrow if all goes good. Going to go as far as I can tonight with putting all the accesories on, starter, bellhousing bolts, exhaust and probably the radiator. Tomorrow, valve covers, intake, electric fuel pump, oil filter adapter, ignition and fluids. Doh, also have to make up another line for the fuel to carb, guess I can do that tonight. Sure looks good sitting in the car Sucky thing is, Thursday and Friday they're calling for rain grrrrr

Not quick yet

Rant

Local parts stores suck *** and never have what I need to get this freakin thing running! Just little chit you'd thing would be a common item to have in stock. So now it's a maybe that it might run Thursday night. Not looking forward to mounting the fuel pump, looks like a black widdow spider is living in the area
List of current road blocks:
ARP valve cover bolts too short
Oil filter adapter looks like it needs a gasket
Oil dipstick tube no where in town, just ones that go to the 70's cars
1 more fitting for heater hose to water pump. (thought I had one)

Short list, should be able to sort it out tomorrow. Calling up the guy who I sold the 305 to and asking for my dipstick back (custom bent anyway lol) hitting NAPA up for a gasket and fitting then Radio Smack for some electrical stuffs for fuel pump. Hardware store for valve cover bolts... Why can't these things just drop in and go on the first day? Good news is, no rain till Friday.

/Rant

ahh, I feel better.

lmao!

Evil Cartman Dude... we are having the same experiences but if i would have told you about all of the little sh*t that goes wrong you wouldn't have believed me

I am not even going to go into all of it. One thing I have learned about working on cars is to expect this crap. Like when your car sits for four months somehow the internal ground on your wiper motor no longer works for some reason (and it is raining immediately following getting her ready for the first test drive).

Hang in there. It will all be worth it (or at least that is what they tell me- hehe). My new fuel pump will be here in a few days. Stocker could not keep up with demand.

What are you running

Woooooohooooooo it runs!!!!!!!!!!!! just broke the cam in, the car isn't on the ground yet cause I was going over things checking for leaks. 2 block off plugs in the heads are leaking coolant so I'm redoing them soon as the engine cools down. Other than that and stabbing the distributor a couple times, no real problems For now I'm running a Holley Red pump.. probably not going to be enough but it was free just to get me going. I'll get video tomorrow if I can of what it sounds like Sounds good at 1800 to 2400 so far lol different than the 305, real crispy sounding. Starting to sprinkle rain so I hope my windshield wipers work lol. Man it feels good to get this up and running.
