Looking for SLP 1 3/4 headers for lt1, ive been looking at the slponline site, but i was told that i need to buy them for the thirdgen car, but with D ports, but everything im looking at for thirdgen 350's are O's arent they?..

Anyone know some item #'s for the SLP coated 1 3/4 headers that are D ported that will work for the thirdgen camaro.. I don't think the 93-97 ones will work for clearance..

 

SLP doesn't make headers for LT1 swaps but I am pretty sure their 1 3/4" are enough to surround the D-port. I am not positive but I know a few LT1 swappers have these headers. I think headman makes headers for D port heads in a thirdgen you may want to call them and find out for sure.

 

third gen headers will fit the LT1.

4th gen slp headers will fit in the 3rd gen (I've had LT1 manifolds on my L98 also).

Take your pick. Personally, I'd go with 3rd gen headers. The only thing that you need to be careful of is that you don't cover up the port opening, which should be a non issue with most headers and d-port heads

 

yea but arent all thirdgen headers O ported?

 

well as long as it covers the whole D port, that works... iguess
