Cam swaps?

Im' planning out my LT1 buildup, and I'm thinking of things I should do while the the motors out of the car, versus what I can do once it's in the car. I'm thinking it's gonna be much easier to put the LT4 Hotcam in while it's out of the car. My question is:
How hard is it for the average novice to do a cam swap?

depends on your skill level. if you'd careful and think it through, read the manual and have a good handle on what you're doing it isn't that hard. most people on the other hand have problems.

I just did a cam swap in my LO3 while it was in the car. It just takes patience and some general know how. It isn't that bad and will be even easier when the motor is out of the car.

Piece of cake with the engine out, little harder but still not hard in the car.
