I dont know about getting it down to 3000lbs but I am planning on 3.42 gears for this season.

I picked the 406. They make 400 rwhp easily
I like the 377 though.
The idea of a large cubic inch engine that I can rev to suicidal speeds makes by little black heart flutter.
