305 5-speed to 400 5-speed which starter?

does anyone know what starter i need to get for my 400, the 305 has the bolts that are aligned with each other and the 400 is offset. plus if you go buy a 400 starter the bendix case is too large to fit in the bellhousing, any help/part numbers would be greatly appreciated!

you can drill and tap a 400 block to accept a straight across starter.

some blocks even came from the factory that way.

there is already a hole there but it is bigger than the bolt and there isnt threads so i dont think i can get a bolt thatll go through the starter and that. i bought a 4.3 start after i had them search for the "right one" but the bendix is too far away from the flywheel to spin it. and it wont fit in the housing. so i think there might be a difference between 5-speed 4.3's and auto but i dont know. anyways im probably gonna go today and get a different one. my brother had to buy the larger one and grind it down to fit the housing.
