help with a 5.7
I got a motor from a friend that was on a pick up deluxe 30 custom chevy 85 the motor has numbers on it...here is it
GM5.7LG , SGI ,and kind of a serial on it 14093638 on the block and 14102191 on teh heads.
So as u can see i want to figure out what kind of motor do i have the only thing i know is a 5.7L mark on it what else can u guys tell me

a 350 makes me very happy,also a have a 305 tpi from a 87 camaro it's the tpi interchangeble i mighty put the intake and all the parts on this 350.What do u guys suggest should i go for a carb or a TPI

Yup, TPI will work, but you might have a hard time bolting it to those heads. The bolt pattern was slightly different.
