ummm, is that a stock intake? Sure in hell looks like it... Other than that, i praise you for keeping A/C and a clean engine compartment.

 

no its not, its an performer rpm intake, yeah i try to keep it clean so i can bring it to the local car show and show it off, well you have to keep ac if you dont have t-tops it sure does get hot in the summer in camaros

 

every body should post pictures of there engines if they have them

 

383 stroker just went in last week. waiting to put headers on and make a scoop so i can put the carb on.

dhphonix....who are those valve covers made by? i really like them a lot better then my polished pieces

 

i think those can be bought through SDPC, or any other chevy dealership.

 

Kinda old, has a few more goodies bolted onto it now Look it has all kindsa different plug wires, guess that shows how cheap I am

 

Mine's too ugly right now, but I got a shot of the L69 shortblock after a little prettyfying... still has all the old parts though (look how loose the chain is, lol)

 

Guess its hard to see... but that chain is so badly streched its not even touching the crank gear teeth, LOL

 

Unless you have a garage or plan on taking those valve covers off every day to clean them, DO NOT GET THEM. I bought them because they are a great looking valve cover. So I said, wow, those look great, i'll give them a try (for $110). I don't have a garage and I don't even drive my car in the rain and these valve covers turned to crap in about 3 months. this is what they looked like when I bought them....

 

And this is what they look today.....

 

Opinions... what do you think these valve covers would look like on a 3rdgen? I think they'd look cool.

I think they would look very similar to 88Iroc's car. But yes, they would look pretty good.

 

they look really good, just maybe a little to busy for me....

as far as the other covers, i was thinking about powder coating them anyways

the bay was painted at the same time that the rest of the car was....and yet it still is a PITA to keep it looking clean

 

MCas7, aren't those made by Proform? If so, they're the polished aluminum ones, right? Whats the matter with them, does the aluminum stain easily? I was just fantasizing about them about them a half hour ago in the SDPC catalog. Thanks for the heads up if they go to crap after a couple of months.

 

Yes, I believe Proform makes them. I think I got mine from SDPC too. Yes they are polished aluminum and they go to crap very quickly if you don't polish them all the time. Now I"m not saying that I don't clean my car, but that is a little bit too much maitenance for me.

All those engines are very clean. Hopefully once I get mine built next winter it will look that good too.

 

still working out a few kinks w/wiring, & have to replace a dead injector, but...........

 

You guys with polished covers spend some $$ on zoop seal them. They you dont have to worry about it.

i would, but doesnt make sense to me to spend more money on zoop seal then i did the valve covers

 

It would when they still looked good 2yrs later and you didnt have to complain they look like crap now.

 

mine dont look bad, still really shiney....but i do plan on buying some zoop seal when i get some aluminum rims. i've seen the stuff used before on some parts on it really makes parts look awesome. but i cant justify spending the money right now for a few small parts that are easy to keep clean right now
