350 to 406 swap
I recently blew up my stock engine and was thinking of going 383,…but I have a chance to pick up a 406 short block locally. Here are the specs of that engine:
-76 2bolt
-Block was milled and quinched
-Pistons are KB Hypereutectic 9.6:1
-Crank, and Rods are balanced (supposedly the pistons were too, but I cant see anything taken out of them...so I am not sure).
-New everything else (timing set, bearings, rings, timing set, etc)
How do I make this a roller motor? What are the costs involved?
Here are the parts I have in my garage/on my car that I’d like to complete the engine with: Will all of this stuff fit? What do I need to make them fit? Costs?
-Proform harmonic balancer
-March pulleys
-Edelbrock tes long tube headers
-Edelbrock victor series reverse flow water pump
-Ac delete box
-Ac delete pulley
-Slp cold air intake
-BBK 58mm throttle body
-Superram w/ runners
-Superram base
-Afr 190/195 heads
-1.6 roller tip rockers
-Roller lifters
-Pushrods
-Holley afpr
-Accel 26# injectors
-LPE 219 cam
-Edelbrock true double roller timing chain
Here are some specifics that I am worried about with compatibility: Is this stuff compatible? What do I need to make them work? Costs?
-Timing chain
-Clearances
-Pushrod lengths
-gaskets
-Headers
-Accessory location (alternator, etc…)
-sensors
-chip
-Distributor
-Ignition
-Spark plugs
-Flywheel
-Balancer
-Transmission
-Starter
-Oil pan
-Oil pump
-Fuel pump
-Intake
-Heads
-Emissions stuff
-Wiring
-Serpentine setup
-Ac delete pulley
Please keep this thread on topic and not opinions on the components of my setup. I can start a separate thread for that if needed, but I just need to find out what would be involved in getting this thing to run.
Thanks,
