CAn we get a big block sticky?

How many times are questions asked about big blocks? Alot, as they are becoming just like a ls1 swap. Why cant we just have a sticky with everything on a big block so us big block guys dont have to put up with first timers and people who think they know what they are talking about when it comes to putting in a big block. What do ya say moderators?

This forum has the most stickies of any forum (tied with DIY PROM - I am considering "un" sticking one of them). We still get new posts about the topics contained in the current stickies. I'm not sure how much it would help to have a BBC stickie as well.

But, it could be done.

Yea well, do we really need a swap registry as a sticky?

Well it would really help out us big block guys. Put it in with the v-6 to v-8 one, and have a small block, and italize the big block things that need to be done or somthing like that..

I don't think he is asking for himself. I think he is referring to all the new members who ask. If everyone used the , you wouldn't have people asking "Will a fourthgen rear swap into my thirdgen?" in the forum you moderate.

I dont think a sticky is the answer, look around the site and you'll see post after post of crap covered in a sticky at the top of the very section the post is in. Its ALOT of newbies who dont bother to read anything and are too lazy to search. Gets nerve racking pretty fast.

On the car audio section its, " how do i install my amp"

On the v6 section its " How do i get a turbo" or something simular to that

Engine swap forum is always a "v6 to v8 swap " question or a "305 to 350 swap " question.

it goes on and on.

I search everything, and I find alot of why don't you do a search results. That is annoying, a sticky would be nice or a sticky pointing to a comprehensive swap guide would be even better.

There is information to be found doing a search, but it is scattered among hundreds of threads.

Thats why its called a search. If they sticky this then when does it end?

Seems like some are too lazy to search for information. Also sems everyone on here has net access do they not? Net has a ton of info on it as well.

Yes because i wanted to know about hooking up the power steering which wasnt talked about in the sticky in detail, and was later added by the mod after he and I talked in a pm. I did a search first (like you are supposed to) then asked a question.

Thankyou very much shadow.

I like the idea of just having a V6-8 swap...a small block...then a big block one..That wouldnt be too many sticky's and im sure the people who looked at it would be helped out alot. and you can just combine some of the others you already have. And if you guys are saying oh just search this and that. Well why dont u just delete all the stickies and be like well...its in there just look. Sure it can get carried away w/stickys but if you just compress em more maybe it can work?
