FI v6 to carb v8 throttle linkage

I'm looking into doing a possible 2.8 fi to carb v8 swap. I have a v8 donor car (the car in sig). How hard is it to make the throttle linkage work right if I were to swap the v8 for the 6?

Car: 1989 Firebird Formula
Engine: Internal Combustion
Transmission: Completed
Axle/Gears: ones that turn.
A lot easier to just use the carb'ed V8 throttle cable.

The one in the V6 car will work. I am using the V6 cable on my carb'ed V8.

I went from mpfi 2.8 to carb'd 350, and retained the stock throttle cable, it works perfectly.

2.8 carbed cable won't work on a carbed V8, though (I understand that wasn't the question here).

I think I'd still go for V8 throttle and TV cables.

I wont run a tv cable. This is a drag only car, no need to downshift, just bang the gears of the built th350.
