LG4 and T5?

Are there certain T5's that wil bolt to an LG4 (305 right?)

I been talkin about swapping to a 3.4 but I do not mind switching to a v8 (in fact its originally what I wanted) if it means I don't need to change out my transmission. Now if my T5 will bolt to the 305, then all I would probably need to do is have the transmission rebuilt to handle the power.

Is that possible? I"d rather have 305 than v6

A V6 T-5 will not work with a V8 without some work

So would there be a way to have the transmission fixed up to handle more power and like an adapter or something to get it to bolt to the 305?

The bellhousing isn't the only problem, the input and I think output shaft are different, as well as the clutch. Just get a T-5 from a 305 and you'll be alright.

Ok so I get a t5 from a 305..... how much would it be able to handle? Cuz I'd want to mod the 305 a lil and attempt to get around 200HP/300 torque outta it.

What about driveshaft length? Since this is a v6 1984 camaro would i need a longer/shorter one for the 305 if i swap it in?

Get a World Class T-5 from I think an '89 or higher and you'll be fine. Driveshaft doesn't change.
