What To Do?

I have a 91 Z28 with a L98. I bought it for a couple hundred bucks with a fried wireing harness . I like to road race and some drag raceing. My question is should I build the L98 and replave the wireing harness or should I buy my buddys wrecked 95 Z28 and drop the Lt1 and T56 in there ? What are the ups and downs? Picture of the car below. BTW its does not have the pro stars anymore.

Because it would already be out of the car. mostly it would be to make the blow... fresher.
