305 to 350
I have a 305 with tpi and i want to put i this engine http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...27&prmenbr=361 I know I will need a 350 chip and knocking sensor. I was also told I will need bigger injectors. What else will I need assuming everything on my engine I have now is good.

Well that motor will work but you will need to fab up a way to run EGR (if you need it) because the heads do not have the provisions for it. You will have to externally plum it if you need it. Also, you will need a vortec style base for your TPI set-up. Your stock TPI base will not bolt up to those heads.
EDIT: You may want to look at the scoggin dickey 350 TPI long block that comes with a better cam and the new vortec TPI base intake. I think the price is only a few hundred more. It may even come with their head work that allows you to run a bigger cam.

The Scoggin Dickey Vortec engine has the LT4 hotcam also... If you bought it all seperate (which you'd almost have to, in order to run TPI) it would cost about a grand more than their price.
Also, technically you don't need a 350 chip or knock sensor, it would just run better if it had them.

The base that comes with the SDPC Vortec TPI crate engine is $400 by itself. http://www.sdpc2000.com/cart.asp?act...art&catid=1460
They started this whole Vortec TPI project assuming people would want to put TPI on the 350 HO crate engine. What they discovered is the HO is a comparative dog with TPI on it. So, they went back to the drawing board and came up with this crate. Notice they used Edelbrock runners as well.
If I was considering a Vortec TPI, I would start with that crate engine. The results with that crate engine would be far superior to what you'd get with just the 350 HO.
Figure on at least $1500 above the engine price if you go with the 350 HO crate, and about $1000 above the engine price if you go with the SDPC Vortec TPI crate.

What about this engine http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...21&prmenbr=361 or this one http://www.jegs.com/cgi-bin/ncommerc...71&prmenbr=361
What will I need in order to get either of these two to work. I think I am just about ready to scrap the idea for the H.O. seeing as how it is going to put well above why intended price range. I only have 4000 and 1000 of that will be spent on labor costs.

They are both truck/van replacement engines. But, should have more power than the 305, and respond well to upgrades. The first one is slightly better.

personaly i would take ur 305 and just build it up. make it a 335 stroker, .040 over bore and a 400 crank, it would put up almost 400hp with a good valve train and better heads.

And RB's response to your post about doing that https://www.thirdgen.org/techbb2/sho...hreadid=261308 tells why that isn't a smart thing to do.
