need help ls1 just installed bogging down

i just finished my 02 ls1 in my 87 ta ,i have it running great at idle and revs right up but i went to drive it and under load it boggs right down and almost stalls , so far i dont have any ls1 edit stuff or my o2 sensors in ,thinking that might be it but maybe im missing somthing , and i was wondering what they were using for the cooling system , so far i dont have an overflow and have the vent tube from the ls1 going into the radiator .

sounds like a definite fuel starvation problem there, whats your fuel system like?

well, if he doesn't have the correct info in the ECM, then that would mean a messed up fuel curve...i think that issue along with the O2 sensor issue definitely needs to be addressed before you can accurately diagnose the drivability issue...

you MIGHT want to put the 02 sensors in.....

It's bogging down because of a fuel problem, probably too much fuel, and what controls the fuel mixture....

Yup, it's the 02 sensors you didn't install......

Nah, I drove mine down the road with out any O2 hooked up nor the IAC and open headers, it ran fine. I'm sure not perfect, but it did not stumble, even at WOT so...

What does your fuel system consist of? And have you checked the PSI? It should be @ 58PSI. I'm running a New TPI pump with the 99 Vette Regulator/Filter assembly and have had no problems thus far.

Let us know.

Yeah, I would have to say he is trying to run it with a stock fuel pump without a fuel pressure regulator. If you do have a redulator you should check if its set to 58psi indeed. Thats what that sounds like to me.

02 Sensors...After finishing up the cam on my friends 2002 Z06 our 02 sensor took a ****..The car barely will run and acts just like you're describing...Replaced the 02's and the car ran fine, tuned it to 433rwhp and 402flbs.
