If you want Ford power, buy a Mustang. Otherwise, don't hack up that F-body to try something that won't be worth it.

what BB is it, 460, 429 or what? If it runs good and everything is in good shape, jump on it, and if you want to put it in you f-body all the power to you. Its your car so do what you want. If you don't put it in your f-body you could always sell it and make a few bucks, but thats just my 2 cents

Where are you going to get the rest of the money to put the whole prject together. $800 can get you a 350 that everything your car has now will bolt right up to it.

to get it in your are going to have to do a ton of fabrication work, the drive shaft would be the least of your problems, front crossmember, streeing, radiator hoses, electrical, exhaust.....
$1000 dollars wouldn't even be a good start, $5000+ might get you started. your looking at around a minimum of a $1000 just to get the 9 inch in., which is the only part of a ford drive line i would put under a chevy.
$5000 + tax & shipping can get you a ram jet 350 PFI, which for the most part would drop right in.
$9000 + tax & shipping can get you a ram jet 502 PFI, but you would need to do a fair amount of work to get it in.

if you really want a big block, find a chevy BB & drop it in, it won't be cheap, but it would be much smarter, easier & cheaper than trying to cross breed a F*** with a chevy.

when they told you to get a MOOSESTANG they wasnt sayin for the engine idiot, they mean dont put a f*$% engine in a camaro, its a waste of time and it is a nasty thought, i want you to go out and smash your head with a hammer repeatedly until you loose a fair amount of blood, then sell your car and give it a good home lol

I'm sure that a lot of you here lack the experience necessary to understand this. THe reason to not put a ford motor in a thirdgen isnt because fords suck. In fact, the most reliable vehicles that I have ever owned have been fords. Personally the next time I go to buy a new vehicle, it will be from a ford dealer. The reason to not put the engine in your thirdgen is simple. There are a lot better alternatives. The chevy parts are a lot cheaper and the swap work will be much easier. You wont find ford headers to fit your thirdgen, thats for sure. The list goes on and on.

ljnowell summed it up well. If this really is a serious question, then that's a serious answer.

Regardless, rather than let this turn into a flame-fest, let's just let this one be available for searches. No need to waste any more bandwidth on it.
