swapping 2.8 2bbl to 2.8 MPI
I just aquired a 89 rs with the 2.8 MPI.
The body on the car is completely shot, but the engine and trans is as close to new as I've seen, like they were changed not too long ago.
I'm going to install the engine and trans in my 83, what kind of pitfalls do I have to look forward to during the swap?
It seems easy, I'm just wondering if anybody has done this kind of swap in the past, and could pass along some pointers.
Will all of my existing dash electronics plug into this setup, or, do I have to change every single wire?
The setup uses mass-air if anybody is wondering.

Well if the carbed engine had a mechanical engine mounted fuel pump you will have to swap in the electric in tank fuel pump (I don't know if the tank is different) and lines, wiring, relays, harness and ECM.
Best bet is to park both cars side by side, label everything and take your time.
