LH0 to L98
A friend of mine wrecked his 91 Trans Am with an L98. It went into a ditch. I don't know all the details yet, but the subframe was bent and the body is in pretty bad shape. It still runs and drives fine though.
He wants to sell me the entire car. What would be a good base price? I asked how much he was looking for, and he responded with 'how much would you pay?'
From my perspective this looks like the perfect reason to lose the 3.1, assuming it passes a compression test and doesn't have an insane amount of miles on it. It would be basically everything I need... Longblock, Harness, ECM, Tranny.
I'm waiting for him to call me back with a VIN and the actual mileage.
Assuming I go through with the deal, what kind of price am I looking at for a rebuild?
