Axle/Gears: bunch of 10 bolts how scary is that
Yes but its gonna be a long journey for that. I would HIGHLY recomend some supension upgrades and some other reinforcments. Is it a TBI injection?

'90 Chevy van 350 would be LO5 TBI.
It's basically a V6 to V8 swap. See sticky above (if you haven't already). Your current transmission won't work, and the van tranny will need modification.

not really scared off, just want to use the 700r4 iin the car already, no room in budget to buy a tranny, i saw that engine on ebay and thought it might work, so if i bought that i would have to find a tranny to work with it as well, more work thank i want to do, my goal is not to build a hot rod or anything, just want a simple swap to 305 or 350 for a little more power, atleast i hope simple, my understanding is , a 90-92 v8 with wire harness ecm computer, new motor mounts , fuel pump, and front springs and i am in business. atleast i hope it goes that easy

There isn't any V8 that your transmission would work on. The van engine is as good as any other in that respect. If you could get the transmission from the van as well, a simple tailshaft housing swap from your current tranny would be all that is required to get the van tranny to work in the RS. Otherwise, the parts you listed, along with little things like throttle cables and hoses, will get you there.
Have you checked the classifieds on this Board? People doing LS1 swaps would have the drivetrain stuff you'd need.

The 3.1l engine has a 60 degree bellhousing. All 305,350,383 etc. have a 90 degree bellhousing. I have heard rumors of an adapter plate to convert to sbc, but as of yet, I haven't found one.

Or van.
The 4.3l V6 has the same bellhousing pattern as Chevy V8's. (That info is in the V6 to V8 swap sticky.)
