So i was looking on corvettefourms.net and saw a guy that made 505rwhp with his z06 vette with only 5.5psi with a soon to be released Kenne Belle Blower kit for c5 vettes. I already know the kit wont work on a 4th gen f-body because the engine sits to far back, but with a nice cowl induction hood would it be possible on a 3rd gen conversion? Guys who have done the swap please chime in.

there is a ton of room in our engine compartments compared to the 4th gens, so I don't see why it wouldn't work. especially with the number of people that have done roots blowers before.

Hmmm sounds like good news. Anyone done the ls1 swap think this will work. It would fit much like a Maggie S/C but with so much more potential. Man could you imagine a 18psi Kenne Belle Ls1 thirdgen. Go out to the local street races and when asked what you got jsut say few engine mods and an intake:-). Thats before they here it screamin of course.

donno if it'll work.

depends on how they handle the belt issue....

remember, 99% of the thirdgen LS1s out there have the Fbody surp belt system on the front of the engine..... the vette one doesnt fit in our cars.

hmm yeah that could be a problem. guess it just shows my ignorance in LS1 swaps, didn't know the vette setup wouldn't work.

Wouldnt the belt set-up be different anyways because the blower going on the top? I thought the only problem using the vette setup was the throttle cable(electric) and the oil pan. Im also ls1 swap ignorant though, but i say hawks did a maggie s/c on there firebird so im guessing it can be done.

We use a MagnaCharger on our ls1 in our el camino, works fine with the camaro brackets (tell them when ordering).

I'm about to start a magna charger / ls1 swap into my 89 IROC. I should be able to put their intercooled kit in with the stock hood, but i'll know soon.

Didn't Hawks build a Trans Am with that setup?
