As I replied to your other topic:
Also note that it says it sat in a garage for 8 years. If not prepped properly, it could be in worse shape then what you have, assuming it was good before being stored. An engine that old, if still stock, probably needs valve stem seals, gaskets, etc...
The two 350's you posted are 1970's Era, which is about the peak of low performance V8s and would probably only worth the block itself, if not already worn out. They also have a 2-piece rear main seal which in most instances are less desireable.

Assuming your talking about swapping longblocks,as in a complete engine pan to intake, swapping in a 350 will be the exact same process as putting in a different 305.
Now,do us all a favor, and sit down with a dictionary.Pick out every word that you use,and learn how to spell it properly.
Thank You
You need to find one that is compatable with your car. If you intend to retain the emissions then the 70's stuff is no good to you. Find one that is the same vintage as your car, if it is high milage and even if not...get a repair manual and start reading, learn to use a mic and calipers...tear it down check it all, get new parts as dictated by your measurements and the standard stuff...oil pump, bearings to the size after the machine shop is done with you crank, block and connecting rods....read the overhaul section until it is memory, check everything twice then look again....it is not hard but if you don't do your homework then you will suffer a hit in the wallet along with the embarassment of taking something hosed to a mechanic to have it all sorted out. Get a bood.........read read read and read the posts here. Then you will be ready to start thinking of what you can do that you want to do. If you get one that is low milage, trust but verify.

Anything that will bolt to a 305 will bolt to a 350,aside from pistons and rings.Headers,carb,dist.,anything that is on your 305 will bolt to a 350.Just be sure not to buy a junk engine, you already have one,or so you think.Did you ever crawl your young *** under the car and look at the flywheel?

He didn't say you needed new pistons, he was referring to the fact that a 305 and 350 are both Small Block Chevys and therefore all external components (oil pan, intake, distributer, etc...) will bolt to the exterior of the engine. They are dimensionally the same, so you can use the same motor mounts, same exhaust, same accessories and same transmission. He was referring to the internals, such as the pistons, that are different between the two engines, but since you are buying a complete engine, that doesn't pertain to you.
Wreaking yard engines are OK, but don't forget, your usually replaceing a high mileage engine with another high mileage engine, so who knows how long this one will last. The 90 day warranty is great, but it doesn't pay for labor or ancillary items like intake gaskets and fluids should you need to yank it again.
As for what to look for, try and find something close to the year range your in. If you have a '91 and put in an '85 engine, then you need a different flexplate and you'll also have to modify the intake manifold to get the bolt angles correct.
I don't mind helping the best I can, but reading some of your posts makes my head hurt. Assuming you are native to the US, you should be embarrased to not write the native language fluently.
