I am not a V6 database but isn't the 4.3 block assembly different? Would his fuel injection and etc. be compatable with the 4.3?

The largest Chevy 60 degree V6 is the 3.4. The 4.3L is a 90 degree V6 based on the small-block V8 (imagine an SBC with two cylinders chopped out of the middle). There's also the 3.8L Buick 90 degree V6.

the 4.3 V6 is based on the SBC... its litterally a 350 with 2 cylinders left in the dust.

There is also a 4.1L Buick 90 degree V6.

But the only one that the originator should investigate is the 3.4L V6.

Getting one in place of your 2.8L or 3.1L is covered on the V6 forum.

The 3.4 liter is the one you want. It's a really easy swap to do. I helped a friend put one in a Firebird a few years back. Basically everything from your 2.8 will bolt right up. I'd recommend having a custom chip burned to compensate for the extra displacement.

shoot me a pm, hit me up on AOL IM XaefodBebolbrox, or just do a search in this or V6 forum on "3800". I did the swap, had it running, ran into some PCM fuel enable issue, and am swapping it out (not really by choice, but answers are in this site somewhere)

click on my web site link, I have pics of my 2.8~3.4~3800 swap. No 3800~305 pics posted yet. I'll save that for when it's done.

thats not true persay, the larges stock 60degree is the 3.9, the 3.4 is the biggest your going to get as far as RWD, but i think there might also be a 3.6 DOHC RWD 60degree also but thats would be too big of a pain to swap
