that engine seems to be a kickass LT1.
Anyone know what i would expect with this?

it would probably be alright but its ususally cheaper to find a salvagable LT1 and have it redone. You wont get the wiring, pcm, intake, etc. All that is going to add up. Plus with a salvage car you sell off the parts you dont want.

I guess I'm not seeing it. $600 core deposit, apparently no tin, iron heads, performance is in the form of "options". $2300 plus freight for a "base" engine.
You'd do a lot better putting that money toward a JY truck engine. Probably get engine, transmission, harness, sensors, controllers - most anything you wanted to go with it and have cash left over to do the little things.

Actually, I think I was putting LSx in the mix with the "truck" part. It was the B-bodies that had iron-headed LT1s.
