solid mounts?

i am putting a 383 with around 450 fwhp and i was wondering if there would be any benefit to using solid motor mounts.

If you are using fuel injection then don't do it. There is a strong possibility that is will interfere with the operation of the knock sensor and cause false readings and alter your fuel and spark timing. Otherwise, I don't see why not. I can't say this with any certainty but I have had friends that made the mistake and they could never get the computer to stop retarding the timing without totally disabling the spark retard setting.
