oil pan for 1986 firebird
Hi I'm a newbie here. I have a 1986 firebird with a 305 4bbl. This was my first car and I am starting to restore it. I have a 1977 350 4 bolt main block that I am going to drop in after the buid up. I saw in the Summit Racing book a oil pan for pre 1980 blocks going into 3rd gen f-body's. Its pretty expensive and I was wondering if you have to use this oil pan in the conversion or can I use one for the 77 year block which is only around $30 Any info would be great.

Use an oil pan from a '70-79 Camaro. Its a direct fit, thats what I used on my '79 block.
