I didn't even pull my intake when I did my 90. I had all the accessory stuff off before, so I might not be the best to ask about everything that had to come out. I did take off serpentine brackets (which included on mine pulling the pully for the power steering to unbolt it), disconneted all the wiring to motor, pulled headers, wiper motor, pulled the radiator (mine was to paint, but could be good safety precaution too), and other stuff to keep from crushing.

I put a floor jack under the pan of the trans to keep it from sagging. Friend did the regular stuff (disconnecting wires, unbolting long center bolt on motor mounts, hooking up chains to crane).
I used a turning tool to turn the flexplate to unbolt the converter (3 bolts). After that was done we finish'd taking out bellhousing bolts. Then jacked up the crane a little bit and got some screw drivers to help wedge gentlely into the bellhousing mount to seperate them. After that came apart we jacked up the crane some more and slowly pulled it out of the car. Really handy to have 2nd person there to keep it from swinging and to watch to clearance issues.

For tools: ratchet/socket sets, open and closed end wrenches, hoist, sling chains, flywheel/flexplate turning tool, screw drivers, GM pulley puller, floor jack, flash light

Easily, with 2 of use we disconnected wires, removed wiper motor, mounts, bell and converter bolts, and pulled the motor out and had it on a stand in about 2 hours. I'm just waiting on my por-15 to come to paint stuff before I bolt down the new solid motor mounts and put the new motor back in.

I assume so... make sure it has the right size flexplate on it. Double check all your sensors and stuff are transfer'd over. I can't remember if theres any in the block or not but I think there is on the passenger middle side.

I'm currently doing a motor swap replacing the old 350 with a new 350 with atleast 350 hp I bought a set of headers but i dont have any connections for the smog pump tubes.Do you know if the car will run ok without using the smog pump I'm keeping the o2 sensors.Any feed back would be great.

Check out the exhaust forum, but in short yes. I capped mine once I gutted the CATs. Won't be emission legal though.

One more question.....what are the valve sizes on the 350 TPI...are they a bigger valve than on the 305 tbi?...I ask because I have a set ot the 305 heads...I know they are a smaller chamber...but are the valves the same size? will they flow as good as the stockers?
