Well, as far as mounting the motor, all you will have to do is get v8 motor mounts for the camaro and the engine should bolt right in. As far as the tranny goes, that all depends what your using, your old v6 tranny wont work. If let say, the jimmy has a 700r4 in it, then you can probably use all the stock mounting stuff from the v6. If the jimmy has a turbo 350, check out spohn, theyll have the stuff you need. A few other things to look at when doing this swap, since you said its a 2.8, that tells me that its pre .... either 90 or 91, and I know that they changed radiators in 91. That being said, you need either a radiator from a v8 camaro, or from a newer v6 so that the upper hose is on the correct side. I also believe that there are clearence issues with brake lines and fuel lines, but theres a good sticky on overcoming that stuff.

the jimmy is more than likely 4wd, so you cant use the trans from either the car or truck. you'll have to get a 700r4 or 350 or 400 (from a 2wd v-8). both the latter are going to need a trans conv kit from summit or something.you will need a radiator. i use a regulator and the stock fuel pump for 6psi.
