Thirdgen in2 a Blazer
My 90 was tail ended awhile ago and decided to take everything out and stick it in my 85 K5 Blazer.
I started out with a simple mindset and it turned into everything from roller rockers to fluid damper, small chamber heads, you name it.... $415 for Tubetech fuel lines and another $600 for an EFI tank, pickup assy, and a GM 1LE f.p.
Yesterday I connect the ECM, prime the oil pump and turn the key....
Sputter, sputter... She tried to start but couldn't get past that. SO I check the usual spark/timing thing and look for codes. Awesome spark (new billet dist. w/msd coil, Taylor wires,etc...)
Since I don't have a fuel pressure test gauge (daughter used the one I had for checking dirt pressure..lol), I wrap a couple rags up and give the fuel rail schrader valve a quick hit and what do I get? a dribble.... LOL
Surely all that money and planning obviously didn't include one thing...
A NEW FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR!!!!!
After mumbling quite a few explatives I realize that you can plan and execute a really expensive and kewl swap. but all of it just isn't going to go anywhere if you forget the basics.
