350tpi, 400 carbed, or complete LSX swap?

I just bought an 87 IROC original 5.7TPI, 700r4.

My question is; should I stick with the 350 tpi and mod it, swap in my 400 carbed that hit 13.5@104 on my really skinny 215 all season radials (and open diff!) in my 84 Z28 or should I sell both engines and go for a LSX of some kind?

I voted lsx mainly based on the street driver factor. I used to be a big fan of carbed motors, but the gas mileage and not having to tune the carbs for changing weather made me a fan of fuel injection.

my $0.02

Is there a difference between "street driver" and "street car"? I think there is. The former implies you're concerned about driving manners, fuel economy, emissions (perhaps), etc. The latter just that it is licenseable and can in some fashion be operated on the street. "11 second street car" lends itself towards the latter, without power adder, anyway.

You can probably count on one hand the number of NA TPI 11-sec 3rd gens out there.

Street car.....

I'm not worried about emissions, fuel economy, or how loud the exhaust is. The only criteria that I must meet are: street legal, able to handle traffic without overheating, and 3500 stall or less. I'm thinking 400 carbed, as I believe that the only other things the engine would need are heads and cam.....

although, an LSX could probably be much more stealthy and be much more rare, I think the cost may be totally out of the park compared to the 400. Not to mention the added work to swap the thing in.

If you'll add a voting option for "Go Buy a Honda" I'll jump right in.
